Change-of-mind returns
Because TapyTales kits contain programmed NFC products linked to a digital service, opened, used, or activated kits are final sale and cannot be returned for a change of mind. Once a tag has been linked to an account, it can no longer be resold.
- Unopened and unused kits may be returned within 14 days of delivery. The product must remain in its original packaging and be in resalable condition.
- Customers are responsible for return-shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
- We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we cannot guarantee receipt of an untracked return.
- Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method after the returned product has been received and inspected.
Defective or incorrect products
Please inspect your order after delivery and contact us promptly if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect.
We may ask you to complete basic troubleshooting and provide your order number, phone model, photographs, or a short video showing the issue.
When a defect is confirmed, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include reprogramming assistance, replacement of the affected NFC tag, replacement of the kit, or a refund, depending on the circumstances. TapyTales will cover reasonable replacement-shipping costs when we confirm that an item is defective or that an incorrect item was sent.
Damaged packages
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery if your package arrives damaged. Include photographs of the mailing package, shipping label, and damaged contents so that we can investigate the issue with the shipping carrier.
Order cancellations
Orders may be cancelled before they have been processed or shipped — email us as soon as possible with your order number. Once an order has been processed or shipped, it cannot normally be cancelled and must follow the applicable return terms above.
Digital services
Your kit includes full access to the TapyTales tracker at no extra charge — there are no subscription fees, so there are never separate subscription charges to refund.
Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights or remedies available to customers under applicable Canadian consumer-protection law, or under the consumer-protection laws that apply where you live.
